Research honors
Mi-Kyung Song PhD RN FAAN and Rasheeta Chandler PhD ARNP FNP-BC FAANP received top honors from the Southern Nursing Research Society (SNRS). Song received the Distinguished Research Award for developing end-of-life nursing interventions, nationally and globally.
Chandler received the Research in Minority Health Award from SNRS for research on using smartphone technology to deliver sex education to adolescents and emerging adults. She is an expert in using advertising and social media messaging to deliver HIV prevention interventions to young African American women.
