Dance with me

For the first time, ABSN students traveled to Peru and Mexico for summer immersion experiences. Shown here are students in the city of Cusco in the Peruvian Andes, where they conducted breast and pelvic exams and blood pressure and blood sugar screenings on women at a primary school and a local market. They also partnered with a company to provide rapid STD and HIV screening and visited a nursing home, where they danced and ate lunch with elderly residents. “The simple act of sitting beside them and offering a smile made all the difference in the world,” says ABSN student Kiah Ford.
